Consists of the files of Harold Spears, relating to the twelve years he was superintendent of schools for the San Francisco Unified School District. Includes "reporter's transcripts" of all San Francisco Board of Education meetings from June 1955 through June 1967, mimeographed copies of minutes for those meetings, and ten scrapbooks, dated April 1955-June 1967, containing newspaper clippings from primarily San Francisco papers mentioning Spears or dealing with local public school concerns.
